Soup Pha is a Khmer/Thai/Lao multi-international recording artist signed with Sastra Music and Film of Cambodia. In addition to being multiinternational, he is a multi-hyphenate. He is currently the emcee/host for KhmerTV, as well as an entertainment journalist and co-founder of 9khanong Media, a company that also works with fellow artists Khanongsak Phaiboon, Yo It’s Jojo, and Ploy. Soup prides himself on being involved with several different organizations of varying backgrounds. He is a correspondent for the Asian World Film Fest, FilAm Creative’s Southeast Asian representative, and is a part of the Sabaidee Fest; the first and largest annual Southeast Asian (SEA) Music and Cultural Festival. One of Soup’s most recent endeavors is writing a theme song for the Aquarium of the Pacific. He acknowledges AOP’s incorporation of AAPI representatives to their Board of Directors, including Chanwantha “Sam” Limon as the first Cambodian member. Speaking of Soup’s philanthropic work, he cofounded a non-profit with Minta Zarris called Roots Of Asian Revolution. Soup prides himself on actively supporting Southeast Asian communities around SoCal and Cambodia Town.
